by Philippine Chronicle

CAMP CRAME, Quezon City — The Philippine National Police received a timely boost in mobility Tuesday morning as the Armed Forces and Police Savings and Loan Association, Inc. (AFPSLAI) formally turned over four brand-new Toyota Hilux patrol vehicles.

The Deed of Donation was signed and accepted at the PNP National Headquarters lobby, with AFPSLAI President and CEO RADM Nichols A. Driz (Ret.) personally handing over the vehicles to PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. and Police Major General Martin Defensor Jr., Director for Logistics.

The four patrol vehicles are earmarked for Police Regional Office 2, specifically for the Reina Mercedes Police Station, Tumauini Municipal Police Station, 201st Maneuver Company, and 202nd Maneuver Company.

PNP officials said the new assets will significantly enhance operational readiness, allowing police units to respond faster to incidents and strengthen peace and order efforts in their areas of responsibility.
In his message, PNP leadership expressed deep gratitude to AFPSLAI for its continued support in modernizing the police force. The donation forms part of the PNP’s vision under the “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas” program — delivering faster, more reliable, and people-centered service to the public.
With these new wheels on the road, police units in Region 2 are now better equipped to serve and protect.
