MANILA — The Philippine National Police has launched a nationwide intensified manhunt for three high-profile fugitives — businessman Atong Ang, former BuCor chief Gerald Bantag, and ex-police officer Rafael Dumlao III — following the activation of Interpol Red Notices against them.
PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Randulf Tuaño announced Tuesday that all manhunt operations teams across regional offices have been fully activated to track down and arrest the trio.

“We have intensified our operations to locate and arrest these individuals,” Tuaño said, adding that intelligence reports indicate all three are still hiding somewhere in the Philippines.
The move comes after Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla confirmed the issuance of Interpol Red Notices during a recent emergency meeting. These notices serve as a global alert for law enforcement to locate and provisionally arrest the wanted persons.

Atong Ang faces multiple counts of kidnapping with homicide linked to the missing sabungeros case. A P20 million reward awaits anyone who can provide information leading to his arrest. He was last spotted in Cavite in April.
Gerald Bantag, wanted in connection with the 2022 killing of broadcaster Percy Lapid, also carries a P2 million bounty. He was previously reported to be hiding in the Cordillera region.
Meanwhile, Rafael Dumlao III was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Court of Appeals for the 2016 kidnapping and murder of South Korean businessman Jee Ick Joo. A P1 million reward has been offered for his capture.
With Interpol now involved and the PNP on full alert, the pressure is mounting on these fugitives. Authorities are urging the public to report any information that could lead to their immediate arrest.
