BULACAN — A 37-year-old man wanted for murder in a 2025 killing in Baliwag voluntarily surrendered to authorities on Tuesday afternoon, May 12, 2026, capping months of police pursuit.
The suspect turned himself in at the Baliwag City Police Station after sustained intelligence monitoring and coordination with his family and close contacts. He is reportedly a member of a local criminal group operating in Bulacan.
A warrant of arrest, issued on January 6, 2026 by the Regional Trial Court Branch 9 in Malolos, charged him with murder over a June 2025 incident in Baliwag. The court ordered no bail.
Baliwag police tracker team facilitated the surrender, quickly turning the accused over for proper documentation and disposition.

Philippine National Police Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. commended the operating unit for the successful operation.
“Hinihikayat natin ang mga taong may kinakaharap na kaso na makipagtulungan at sumunod sa batas. Ang boluntaryong pagsuko ay mahalagang hakbang upang maharap nang maayos ang kanilang mga kaso sa tamang proseso ng hustisya,” the PNP chief said.
The case forms part of the PNP’s intensified campaign under its Focused Agenda to track down wanted persons through intelligence-driven operations, supporting the Marcos administration’s public safety goals.
Another fugitive off the streets — another small but clear win for law enforcement in Bulacan.
