The UAE Cyber Security Council, in partnership with CPX Holding, has launched the “UAE Cyber Factory” to strengthen the country’s digital leadership and cyber sovereignty amid rising cyber threats.
The initiative comes as the UAE records over 800,000 cyberattacks daily in recent months, underscoring the growing need for stronger and more adaptive cybersecurity systems to protect national infrastructure and public trust.
According to Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government, the project marks a new phase in positioning the UAE as a global hub for advanced cybersecurity, emphasizing innovation and leadership in digital defense technologies.
He said the Cyber Factory will develop next-generation cybersecurity capabilities powered by artificial intelligence, enabling faster detection, prevention, and response to evolving cyber threats affecting both institutions and individuals.
The initiative will function as a sovereign integrated ecosystem, giving the UAE full ownership of its cybersecurity systems while enhancing digital independence and national readiness against cyberattacks.
The CSC and CPX said the program aims to transform the country’s cybersecurity landscape by developing locally built, globally competitive solutions aligned with the UAE’s long-term digital strategy.
CPX CEO Hadi Anwar said the Cyber Factory represents a major step toward a future-ready and sovereign cybersecurity ecosystem, combining local talent, advanced engineering, and innovation developed within the UAE to strengthen resilience across government, businesses, and citizens.
