by Philippine Chronicle

A total of 193 Filipinos from Kuwait have safely returned to the Philippines as the government continues its repatriation efforts amid tensions in the Middle East.

The group arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport and was immediately assisted by multiple government agencies, including the Department of Migrant Workers, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Department of Social Welfare and Development, and airport authorities.

Officials said returning Filipinos received support such as food, transportation, temporary accommodation, and medical assistance, along with help in arranging domestic travel to their home provinces.

Authorities also provided reintegration services, including skills training, livelihood assistance, and financial support for those affected by the crisis.

The operation is part of a broader whole-of-government response aimed at ensuring the safety and welfare of Filipinos overseas.
