The Ministry of Education announced that all students, teachers, and administrative staff in public and private schools, as well as nurseries across the UAE, will resume in-person learning beginning Monday, May 11.

In a statement, the ministry said the decision followed continuous monitoring of regional developments and coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the continuity of education and academic assessments.

Officials confirmed that schools and nurseries will continue implementing approved safety and security protocols as classes fully return onsite.

Authorities also said educational institutions remain prepared to shift back to alternative learning models if necessary depending on future developments and ongoing assessments.

The ministry added that coordination with schools nationwide will continue to ensure a smooth transition back to classroom learning.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research separately announced that universities and higher education institutions across the UAE will also resume face-to-face classes beginning Monday.

The decision covers students, faculty members, and administrative personnel in both public and private universities nationwide.

Officials said universities would continue enforcing approved safety measures while remaining prepared to activate remote learning systems if required.

The return to onsite learning comes after schools, universities, and nurseries across the UAE temporarily shifted to remote classes from May 5 to 8 as a precautionary measure amid heightened regional tensions and emergency alerts linked to missile and drone interceptions by UAE air defense systems.

Authorities said any additional updates regarding school operations and safety measures would be announced through official government channels.
