UAE intercepts missiles, drones as attacks persist; injuries rise to 224

UAE air defense systems intercepted 17 ballistic missiles and 35 drones launched from Iran on April 8, as attacks in the region continued.

Authorities said total interceptions since the onset of the conflict have reached 537 ballistic missiles, 26 cruise missiles, and 2,256 drones.

Three people sustained minor injuries in the latest attacks, bringing the total number of injured to 224 across multiple nationalities.

Officials reported no new fatalities in recent hours, with total deaths remaining at 10 civilians and three military-related casualties since the escalation began.

The UAE said it remains fully prepared to respond to threats, as regional tensions persist despite ongoing diplomatic efforts.
