Senators on Monday, December 25 expressed their wish for good health, unity and compassion for Filipinos, both in the country and abroad, this holiday season.
Senate President Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri noted how the country is able to achieve so much in 2023 because of unity.
“We have done a lot in our unity. And as we continue to work together, we can do more—for our families, for our communities, and for the entire nation,” Zubiri said.
Senate President Pro Tempore Loren Legarda, for her part, said she prays and hopes for enduring peace throughout the world in 2024.
“May warring sides find common ground and build from there to find a lasting resolve that will be beneficial to all,” Legarda said.
As the nation continues to navigate the challenges posed by global issues and concerns, Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go emphasized the importance of maintaining good health and compassion for one another.
Go also emphasized the importance of maintaining a spirit of community and unity.
“This Christmas and in New Year, health is important as well as compassion. This is the gift that should be given importance,” Go said.
Go also highlighted the importance of looking forward with optimism as the country prepares for the new year.
“Let’s face New Year with hope and unity, using what we learned from the previous years,” he said.
“As we begin this new chapter, let us unite in promoting a better future for every Filipino, a future full of opportunity, health, and continued development for our country,” Go added.
Sen. Nancy Binay, likewise, expressed hope that even during the usual family gatherings, each Filipino can be a source of inspiration.
“Let’s make happy memories this Christmas and fill our homes with love, life and laughter,” Binay said.
