Ahead of the 128th anniversary of Philippine independence, San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria spent time with the City of San Diego’s Filipino American Employees Association to recognize Filipino American public servants who help keep the city running with professionalism and pride.
In a statement shared on his page, Gloria said Filipino Americans have long strengthened San Diego through public service, military service, community leadership and a deep commitment to family and belonging.
“That legacy is alive in City Hall and across our workforce,” Gloria said.
