The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration said more than 1.7 million overseas Filipino workers are now using its mobile application, while over 463,000 e-cards have been issued as part of its digital transformation efforts.
The figures were highlighted during the agency’s 44th anniversary celebration at the Philippine Trade Training Center.
Officials said the digital tools are designed to improve access to services and reduce processing time for OFWs seeking assistance.
“Pinapadali rin natin ang pag-access sa ating mga serbisyo. Mas simple. Mas mabilis. Mas diretso,” the agency said, emphasizing its push for more efficient service delivery.
Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac said expanding digital platforms ensures that OFWs can access support regardless of their location.
The digital push forms part of OWWA’s broader “Road to 50” campaign to modernize services and improve responsiveness to the needs of Filipino workers abroad.
