Get ready for an unforgettable celebration of Filipino culture, music, and community! Gather your family and friends as we celebrate Filipino heritage and embrace this year’s theme:

Rooted. Rising. Reclaiming.

Join the Kalayaan 1521 Council for an exciting day of celebration featuring live performances by Take One and more! Taking place this Saturday, June 27th from 9AM – 4Pm, the 6th Annual Grand parade will have great music and delicious food to cultural pride and community spirit! There’s something for everyone to enjoy.

This celebration will include…

  • A vibrant parade route through Washington Park
  • Tons of family-oriented activities and diverse musical performances.
  • A variety of food, arts and crafts vendors, and community booths!

From 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM at historical Washington Park, located in Downtown Albany!

Come sing, dance, and celebrate with us at one of the Capital Region’s biggest Filipino cultural events. Admission is free and everyone is welcome!

The Kalayaan 1521 Council Inc is a non-profit organization that aims to promote and preserve Filipino culture and heritage by holding various collaborative activities such as the Filipino Day Grand Parade which unites various Filipino American organizations. The Council also aims to empower succeeding generations of Filipino Americans by creating opportunities through civic engagement and education, thereby creating a generation of self-reliant and socially responsible citizens.
