The government has brought together services from both public and private sectors through the Bayanihan Para sa Balikbayang Manggagawa National Reintegration Network Regional Fair to support returning overseas Filipino workers and their families.
Led by Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in Tacloban City, the program aims to ensure a smooth transition for OFWs through access to jobs, livelihood opportunities, training, and essential services.
The initiative offered 527 local job openings and 1,904 overseas job orders, along with 48 frontline services from 20 national government agencies.
Financial support included up to ₱960,000 in loan assistance through the Small Business Corporation and ₱20,000 livelihood aid for selected beneficiaries under the Balik Pinas Balik Hanapbuhay program.
Seventeen OFW teachers were also endorsed for Teacher I positions under the “Sa Pinas, Ikaw ang Ma’am at Sir” program.
Other services included health checkups from the Department of Health, training vouchers from TESDA, and agricultural support from the Department of Agriculture.
The event also recognized a regional winner of the LIKHA Kababaihan Award, who received a ₱100,000 cash incentive.
Officials said the program is designed to help returning OFWs reintegrate into the local economy by improving access to employment, business opportunities, and government support systems.
