Filipinos in the United Arab Emirates are being urged anew to remain vigilant against individuals and groups offering fraudulent paid assistance services, according to the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai.
The consulate has renewed its warning against persons, organizations, and travel agencies falsely presenting themselves as linked to official government services, cautioning the public not to fall victim to such schemes.
In its latest advisory, the consulate stressed that all assistance provided by the Philippine government for repatriation flights is completely free of charge.
“Do not make any payment, do not share personal information, and do not transact with unauthorized parties,” it said.
The consulate also reiterated guidance from the Philippine Embassy in the UAE, reminding Filipinos to avoid dealing with third parties or individuals claiming to facilitate services for a fee, emphasizing that “no payment is required at any stage of the process.”
It warned that individuals or groups found misrepresenting government programs or soliciting fees from Filipinos will face appropriate legal action under applicable laws and regulations.
Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious offers or incidents to the consulate for proper investigation.
