Every great structure begins with a vision and for Filipino architect Antonio Cabrera Dicipulo, that vision has never been limited to designing skylines—it has always been about building lives, creating opportunities and inspiring the next generation of Filipinos to dream bigger.
As an architect with MOMA International Design, Dicipulo has spent years transforming concepts into structures that stand the test of time. Yet among his proudest achievements is being recognized as one of the TFT Watchlist Top Filipino Engineers and Architects in the Middle East 2025 awardee, an honor that validated not only his professional accomplishments but also the values that have defined his journey.
“Being part of the TFT Watchlist Awards has boosted my personal confidence and reaffirmed that the sacrifices and hard work behind my journey are meaningful,” Dicipulo shared.
For him, the recognition represents a powerful reminder that Filipino talent, perseverance, and excellence can compete and thrive on the global stage.
More importantly, the award reshaped his perspective on leadership.
“It changed how I view my role not only as an architect, but also as someone who can inspire and guide others,” he said.
Like many successful professionals, Dicipulo’s journey did not begin at the top. He started his career in an entry-level position and steadily worked his way up through determination, discipline and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Among the milestones he considers career-defining were passing the Architect Licensure Examination and earning the prestigious LEED AP (Building Design + Construction) credential, an internationally recognized certification that demonstrates expertise in sustainable design and green building practices.
“I always set a goal to reach these milestones, and they are very significant in my chosen career as these are some of the essential ingredients and I will still look forward to doing more achievements,” Dicipulo said.
Despite his accomplishments, Dicipulo admits that failure has always been part of his journey.
Instead of allowing setbacks to define him, he uses them as opportunities to improve.
“I always experience failure, and I treat it as motivation to enhance my skills and learn from it,” he said.
Each challenge has taught him valuable lessons in discipline, resilience, and patience, qualities he considers just as important as technical expertise.
Rather than dwelling on mistakes, he focuses on finding solutions, maintaining professionalism, and continuing to learn.
Even while working overseas, Dicipulo remains committed to supporting fellow Filipinos.
As a member of the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP), he has participated in initiatives that help aspiring architects prepare for the Special Professional Licensure Board Examination (SPLBE). He also continues to mentor young professionals whenever opportunities arise.
Understanding firsthand the struggles many overseas Filipino workers face, from homesickness to unemployment, he extends support by connecting fellow OFWs with potential job opportunities and encouraging them to remain resilient during difficult times.
Having experienced many of the same challenges himself, he hopes his journey reassures others that setbacks do not have to define their future.
“For my community, it serves as a reminder that success is not just personal; it can uplift others, create pride, and open doors for future generations of Filipino talent,” Dicipulo added.
As he continues to design spaces that shape communities, Dicipulo is also building something even more enduring, a legacy of leadership, resilience, and hope for future generations of Filipinos.
