The recent earthquake in Western Japan has led the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) to take action. They have activated the Japan Earthquake Assistance Hotline to help overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) affected by the disaster. Migrant Workers Officer-in-Charge Hans Cacdac has used Twitter to spread the word and urged OFWs to contact the hotline for support. He also shared additional contact information, including the DMW-OWWA Japan Help Desk with Hotline 1348. Cacdac provided the DMW-MWO-OWWA Osaka Hotline Numbers as well. The earthquake had a magnitude of 7.5 and caused a tsunami warning in Noto City.
