The Department of Migrant Workers has expanded its reintegration program for overseas Filipino workers returning from the Middle East, offering broader support through the National Reintegration Network.
Repatriated workers are provided with post-arrival assistance, including medical care, psychosocial support, and guidance on employment, livelihood, and skills development.
DMW Assistant Secretary Francis Ron de Guzman said the program opens multiple pathways, including local employment, overseas redeployment, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac said the government is expanding labor markets beyond the Middle East, citing deployments to countries such as Croatia.
Meanwhile, Undersecretary Felicitas Q. Bay said returning workers are matched with available job opportunities through skills assessments and placement services.
Support also includes training programs through TESDA, scholarships for dependents, and access to financial and business assistance through partner agencies.
Officials said job and livelihood fairs are being conducted nationwide, as part of efforts to help OFWs rebuild stable and sustainable livelihoods after returning home.
