A total of 342 Filipinos, including 255 overseas Filipino workers and 87 dependents, have returned to the Philippines from United Arab Emirates aboard a government-chartered flight that landed at Villamor Airbase on April 13.
The repatriation was carried out through a coordinated effort among the Department of Migrant Workers, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, and Department of Foreign Affairs, along with the Philippine Embassy and Filipino community in Dubai.
The latest batch brings the total number of repatriated OFWs to more than 4,200, with over 1,100 dependents also assisted since early March under the government’s whole-of-government response.
Returnees received immediate assistance, including financial aid, medical support, temporary shelter, and transportation to their home provinces, with reintegration programs such as skills training, job matching, and livelihood support also being prepared.
