The Ateneo de Manila Grade School Midgets D football varsity delivered a standout performance at the Philippine Cup held in Clark, Pampanga, last 20-21 February 2026. Fielded as two separate squads- Blue and White- to maximize competitive experience, our young booters showcased both their technical growth and the Magis spirit that defines the Blue Eagles.
Both teams navigated a highly competitive field to secure impressive podium finishes:
Ateneo Midgets D Blue earned 1st Runner-Up in the elite Division 1 knockout stages with players are Matteo Bartolome (5-Yakan), Jaime Gabasa (5-Subanon), Jace Go (5-Ati), Latif Moti (5-Subanon), Jericho Quierrez (5-Dumagat), Dustin Ramos (5-T’boli), Thomas Tan (4-Lapu-Lapu), and Matti Verzosa (Maguindanao).

These twin podium finishes underscore the depth of the Ateneo football program and the bright path ahead for our 2015-born champions.

Coached by Paul Madrona and Rafael Cruz, the team showed incredible tenacity, synergy, and blue-and-white fighting spirit throughout the tournament.
Congratulations to the players, coaches, and parents!
