Seven overseas Filipino workers from Lebanon arrived in the Philippines on April 6 under the government’s ongoing repatriation program.
The returnees landed at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 and expressed gratitude for the assistance extended by the government in ensuring their safe return.
Officials from the Department of Migrant Workers assured continued support for the repatriates as they reintegrate into their communities.
Authorities said the workers will receive temporary accommodation and transportation assistance to their home provinces through the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration.
The repatriation forms part of broader efforts to assist Filipinos affected by tensions in the Middle East.
