67 Filipinos safely repatriated from Qatar amid middle east tensions

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) confirmed the safe return of 67 Filipinos from Qatar as part of ongoing government repatriation efforts amid the Middle East conflict.

In a Facebook update, the DMW reported that the group, consisting of 54 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and 13 dependents, arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Saturday evening, April 4.

They were welcomed by officials from the DMW and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and immediately received post-repatriation assistance, including food, financial aid, medical support, transportation to their home provinces, and temporary shelter.

Another batch of 19 OFWs and one dependent from Qatar arrived on Sunday, April 5, via Qatar Airways, continuing the government’s efforts to ensure the safe return of Filipinos abroad.
