Robin Padilla says Senate not chaotic, ‘country is chaotic’

Senator Robin Padilla insisted that the Senate is not chaotic, saying the country itself is experiencing political turmoil and that the upper chamber is only being affected by it.

In an interview, Padilla said the Senate has merely become entangled in the broader situation unfolding nationwide.

“Siguro po ang dapat nating sabihin, magulo ang bansa natin. Hindi po ang Senado. Ang Senado po nadamay lang,” Padilla said.

The senator added that despite ongoing political controversies, lawmakers inside the chamber have remained calm.

“Kami po naman sa ngayon ay tahimik. Basta wala naman pong pumapasok dito, kami po’y mananatiling tahimik,” he said.

Padilla made the remarks amid tensions surrounding the recent gunfire incident inside the Senate complex and the abrupt leadership change that installed Senator Alan Peter Cayetano as Senate president.
