The UAE Ministry of Defence said Tuesday evening that the country’s air defence systems intercepted missile and drone threats across multiple areas of the UAE.
In a public advisory, authorities said the loud noises heard in several locations were linked to ongoing interception operations involving ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The ministry said defence systems were actively working to neutralize aerial threats and maintain national security.
Authorities urged the public to remain calm and follow official safety instructions issued by government agencies.
Residents were also warned not to approach, touch, or photograph debris or fragments that may have fallen following the interceptions. Officials said specialized teams would handle the recovery and assessment of the materials.
The advisory came amid heightened regional tensions and continued security concerns linked to the broader Middle East conflict.
No immediate reports of casualties or major damage were announced by authorities.
