A multi-sector coalition has endorsed Vice President Sara Duterte and former Ilocos Sur governor Luis Chavit Singson for the 2028 elections, launching a nationwide campaign caravan to build support.
The alliance, composed of civic groups, business leaders, religious organizations, legal professionals, media practitioners, retired military personnel, and representatives from Muslim and Indigenous communities, described itself as a unified national movement.
Organizers expressed full backing for Duterte’s presidential bid, citing her experience in local government and national leadership, as well as her track record in public service.
They also endorsed Singson as vice presidential candidate, describing him as a dependable partner with extensive public service experience and strong local governance credentials.
The coalition said its formation followed Duterte’s earlier declaration of her intent to run for president, which prompted various sectors to consolidate support behind the tandem.
It added that a series of nationwide caravan activities will be rolled out in the coming months to expand grassroots support ahead of the 2028 national and local elections.
