Leaders of the Filipino Social Club (FILSOC) and various accredited Filipino groups in the UAE paid a courtesy visit to the Philippine Consulate, reinforcing collaboration within the community.
The delegation was received by Ambrosio Brian F. Enciso III, where discussions focused on strengthening partnerships and advancing initiatives for Filipinos in the UAE.
A key highlight of the meeting was the announcement that FILSOC is now officially recognized as a Public Association under UAE Federal Law No. 50 of 2023, marking a major milestone for the organization.
Community leaders said the recognition reflects years of effort to unify and support Filipinos in the region.
During the visit, FILSOC also formally informed the Consulate of preparations for the Philippine Independence Day celebration in June 2026.
Officials said the meeting underscores continued cooperation between the Philippine government and Filipino organizations abroad in promoting unity and service for overseas Filipinos.
