Vice President Sara Duterte denied circulating social media posts falsely claiming that she and her family are giving away prizes through digital wallets and other online platforms.
In an advisory, Duterte warned the public about several social media groups allegedly created to spread the scam, including pages using the name “Duterte Legacy.”
“Ikinababahala natin ang patuloy na paglaganap ng mga social media groups tulad ng Duterte Legacy na nagpapakalat na ako at ang aking pamilya ay nagbibigay ng mga papremyo,” she said.
She emphasized that neither her office nor her family is conducting any prize giveaways through mobile e-wallets or any digital platform.
“Ang Tanggapan ng Pangalawang Pangulo, at maging ako man, ay hindi nagbibigay ng mga papremyo sa mobile e-wallet o anumang platform,” she added.
The Vice President urged the public to remain vigilant, avoid believing unverified online posts, and refrain from sharing personal information that could be exploited by scammers.
