A total of 138 overseas Filipino workers and 59 dependents have returned to the Philippines from the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, with government agencies providing immediate assistance upon arrival.
From Dubai, 112 OFWs and 44 dependents arrived at NAIA Terminal 3 aboard an Emirates flight, while 26 OFWs and 15 dependents from Doha arrived via Qatar Airways.
The returnees were assisted through coordinated efforts by the Department of Migrant Workers, the Department of Foreign Affairs, and Philippine embassies in the region.
Upon arrival, the workers were welcomed by government agencies, including the Department of Migrant Workers, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Health, and airport authorities.
They were provided with medical and financial assistance, temporary shelter, and free transportation to their home provinces.
The government said reintegration support is being prepared under the National Reintegration Network, offering job placement, livelihood assistance, skills training, and psychosocial support for returning workers.
Officials said the initiative aims to ensure that OFWs can restart their lives in the country with adequate support following their return.
