The Philippines and Albania are moving to strengthen labor cooperation as the European nation eyes opening around 20,000 jobs for foreign workers in tourism, hospitality, and service sectors.
Albanian Ambassador-designate Ermal Muça discussed expanded employment opportunities during a meeting with officials from the Department of Migrant Workers.
Both sides agreed to enhance labor mobility arrangements and improve systems to ensure safe and orderly deployment of Filipino workers.
Officials said the growing partnership could provide more opportunities for overseas Filipino workers while strengthening safeguards against illegal recruitment and ensuring fair working conditions.
The development is seen to widen employment pathways for Filipinos seeking stable and secure jobs abroad.
