132 OFWs from Kuwait return home, receive government support

by Philippine Chronicle

A total of 132 overseas Filipino workers from Kuwait safely returned to the Philippines on April 10, arriving at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.

They were welcomed by personnel from the Department of Migrant Workers and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, who facilitated immediate assistance upon arrival.

Authorities provided financial aid, temporary accommodation, and medical support, while other government agencies extended reintegration services, including skills training, livelihood programs, and psychosocial counseling.

The repatriation was carried out with support from Philippine posts in Kuwait, which also provided pre-departure assistance such as hygiene kits, food, and financial aid.

Officials said efforts will continue to ensure returning OFWs receive the necessary support as they rebuild their lives in the country.
