Malacañang dismissed speculation surrounding President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s health, assuring the public that he remains fit to perform his duties.
Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said the president is “definitely well,” pointing to his scheduled official engagements as proof of his condition.
The Palace addressed online rumors that circulated over the weekend following the president’s absence from an event with returning overseas Filipino workers and an Easter post by the First Lady.
Castro urged the public to rely on verified information from established news organizations, warning against the spread of unverified claims on social media.
The president earlier disclosed that he was diagnosed with diverticulitis in January but said the condition was not life-threatening and does not affect his ability to work.
