Advincula urges resistance to hatred, calls for justice in Easter message

by Philippine Chronicle

Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula called on Catholics to resist hatred and indifference as he linked the Easter message to ongoing global conflicts, including tensions in the Middle East.

In his Easter message, Advincula described the Resurrection as a call to push back against forces that threaten hope and humanity, urging the faithful to reject violence and apathy.

He also appealed for accountability and urgent action from leaders to address the suffering of people affected by conflict and rising global challenges.

Meanwhile, Cardinal Orlando Quevedo emphasized the need for love and service, especially for the poor and vulnerable, as a way to overcome present-day hardships.

The Easter Season, which lasts 50 days and culminates on Pentecost Sunday, highlights renewal, hope, and the call to live out faith through action.
