Tenorio on Gilas Pilipinas Youth lacking the FIBA U16 Asia Cup QF: ‘This loss doesn’t outline us’

Gilas Pilipinas Youth head coach LA Tenorio shared his ideas on social media after the younger squad missed the quarterfinals of the FIBA U16 Asia Cup.

The Philippines didn’t advance after falling to Bahrain within the quarterfinals qualifiers, 79-66.

“Nicely… the end result wasn’t what we hoped for, however i need to acknowledge the unbelievable sacrifices and resilience of those younger boys have put in,” Tenorio wrote in his publish on Thursday.

“Their dedication, exhausting work, teamwork and sacrifices have been inspiring since Day 1. And with that I’m so PROUD of those boys!”

For Tenorio, that is just the start of higher issues for the squad.

“This loss doesn’t outline us; it’s a stepping stone for larger issues forward. Let’s study from this and proceed to attempt for excellence! ”
