Super Junior celebrated their 20th anniversary and commemorated the milestone with “Super Show 10,” held last Oct. 4 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Produced by Pulp Live World, the concert was a spectacular display of the group’s enduring legacy and two decades of experience in the industry.
The floor shook with fans’ excitement as the group opened the show with Twins, their debut song, accompanied by flashing LED screens and pyrotechnics. It was the perfect start to an unforgettable night, followed by back-to-back performances of fan-favorite hits such as U, Black Suit, and Mamacita.
Fans were given a brief moment to catch their breath with a VCR interlude before Super Junior returned onstage for an electrifying performance of Superman, which had the entire arena screaming the lyrics in unison. It was a moment that showcased the group’s undeniable charisma and stage presence — proof that even standing still, their aura is unmatched.
Afterwards, the group launched into Haircut and Say Less before gathering on the main stage for their first ments. Leader Leeteuk captivated the venue with a cheerful “Philippines, mabuhay!” ahead of their individual introductions. The members also expressed joy at seeing the fans’ prepared projects and surprises, sharing heartfelt messages of gratitude.
Super Junior then took the opportunity to interact more closely with fans through Walkin’, followed by a string of sweet serenades including I Know, Our Love, No Other, For U, In My Dream, and Dorothy.
After enveloping the crowd in a wave of warmth and nostalgia, the group turned the SM Mall of Asia Arena into a massive dance floor. From the playful animal onesies in Miracle and Me to the sleek black outfits in Rukuko, DNA, Rockstar and A-CHA, “Super Show 10” transformed into an all-out disco party — with lightsticks waving, spotlights flashing, and fans dancing with pure joy.
The high energy carried over into one of the night’s most anticipated segments: a sequence of Super Junior’s biggest hits. Kicking things off with Express Mode, the title track from their latest album, the members followed up with Mr. Simple, Bonamana, and the global phenomenon Sorry, Sorry. They closed the set with a fiery performance of Don’t Don — punctuated by Leeteuk giving fans a playful peek at his abs, much to the crowd’s delight.
By the time the encore arrived, the energy in the arena was still electric. A massive fan-made roll-down banner reading “What should we do? It seems PH E.L.F is stuck with you” was displayed as a touching message on the LED screens. When Super Junior reappeared, they got up-close and personal with fans during Marry U and Happiness, amplifying the joy and connection that filled the venue.
The members clearly enjoyed their Manila stop as well. During their final ments, each member shared their heartfelt gratitude to the fans who attended, prepared projects, and supported them throughout their 20-year journey.
Donghae beautifully summed it up in his speech:
“I just really want to say thank you so much for spending these memories (with us) to celebrate our 20th anniversary. On our 21st anniversary, I hope to see you all again. Please continue to love us more and more. I love you all!”
Super Junior closed the curtains on the Manila leg of their “Super Show 10” tour with Finale. As the members took one last walk around the SM Mall of Asia Arena, confetti rained down to the cheers of the crowd — a fitting end to a night that made Super Junior’s 20th anniversary truly unforgettable for everyone present.
