Simon Enriquez and Maricar Camacho emerged victorious in the Manila Half Marathon held at the SM Mall of Asia Complex last Sunday.
Newcomer Enriquez clocked in at 1 hour, 23 minutes, and 5 seconds to top the men’s 21K race, while veteran Camacho finished in 1 hour, 30 minutes, and 54 seconds to lead the women’s division.
Joram Lava (1:24:23) and Moiselle Angelo Alforque (1:25:22) completed the men’s podium, while Jennelyn Isibido (1:37:11) and Danica Shasha Tan (1:48:34) rounded out the top three in the women’s race.
In addition to the half marathon, 10K and 5K races were also held.
Rico Jay Patanao (32:44), Cymon Richard De Jesus (38:15), and Roilan Develasco (38:47) topped the men’s 10K, while Christine Hallasgo (38:32), Maria Jonna Lina Abutas (42:54), and Brizeth Deriquito (45:18) led the women’s 10K.
In the 5K category, Junel Gabotia (17:21), Michael Dave Bognadon (18:57), and Manuel Tayoto (21:05) secured the top three spots in the men’s division, while Jolly Ann Ballester (24:01), Thea Marie Ba-ay (27:07), and Geraldine Rose Anonas (27:09) completed the women’s podium.
The PUMA Philippine Half Marathon Series will also make stops in Davao, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, and Iloilo, culminating in a grand finale in Clark.
