The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) will replay its opening-day games after securing the International Transfer Certificates (ITCs) from the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF), officially clearing foreign players to participate in the 2025 Reinforced Conference.
The league said the move was made “in the spirit of fairness,” after four teams — ZUS, Akari, Capital1, and Choco Mucho — were forced to play with all-Filipino rosters during Tuesday’s opener at the Ynares Center in Montalban due to the delayed issuance of ITCs.
The Thunderbelles and the Flying Titans emerged victorious in their respective matches to start the import-laden tournament on a high note, but those results will now be nullified following the PVL’s decision to redo the games at a later date.
“This decision follows prior agreement among the participating teams, in the spirit of fairness, competitive parity, and delivering the best possible experience to our supporters,” PVL said in a statement.
“The upcoming replays will allow all teams to compete with their complete rosters, including their respective imports, ensuring the full excitement and high-level competition our fans expect.”
Earlier, PVL shared that the PNVF had already signed and activated the ITCs at 6:30 a.m., paving the way for the imports to finally see action.
