Petro Gazz defeated Galeries in straight sets, 25-21, 25-19, 25-14, as foreign reinforcements officially made their debut on Thursday in the PVL Reinforced Conference in Dasmariñas City.
This marked the first game day featuring imports, after issues with their international transfer certificates were resolved. The imports were unable to play last Tuesday due to the delay, and those matches are set to be replayed soon.
Lindsey Mae Vander Weide led the Angels with 13 points from nine attacks, two blocks, and two aces, along with eight excellent receptions. Brooke Van Sickle, whose parents made their debut as the team’s coaches, scored 14 points. MJ Phillips added 12 points.
Jelena Cvijovic and Dodee Batindaan each tallied nine points to lead the High Risers.
