MANILA, Philippines — There will be no shortage of direct flights to the US West Coast next year as Philippine Airlines (PAL) is increasing weekly frequency for Manila-Los Angeles services.
In an advisory, PAL said it is ramping up non-stop services between Manila and Los Angeles to 18 times a week, from the current 14, starting June 1, 2026.
PAL connects Manila and Los Angeles twice daily using a Boeing 777, but that would increase to thrice a day on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
PAL president Richard Nuttall said Los Angeles is one of the airline’s key routes in the US. It is the most populous city in California and it is home to roughly half a million Filipino-Americans as of 2019, based on data from Pew Research Center.
“By increasing our capacity on this key route, we’re opening doors for travelers to experience the world-class service and heartfelt hospitality unique to Philippine Airlines, while also supporting the dynamic economic opportunities between the Philippines and US,” Nuttall said.
Nuttall also said the expanded service gives travelers from the US wider access to PAL’s network of domestic and regional destinations, easing travel around the Philippines and across Asia.
