MANILA, Philippines — Mika Salamanca and Brent Manalo confirmed that they have finished filming the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2025 entry “Call Me Mother,” starring Vice Ganda and Nadine Lustre.
In an interview with the media, the “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition” big winners shared their experience working with Vice and Nadine.
“Sobrang saya, parang naglalaro na lang kami sa set. Nakakalimutan ko minsan na part pala ako ng eksena kasi kasama ko sina Meme (Vice’s nickname),” Brent said.
“Sobrang gaan nila katrabaho. Inalalayan po nila kami,” Mika added.
When asked what they learned from Vice and Nadine, Mika and Brent said they learned the importance of working hard.
“Kaya naman pala maging sobrang gaan na set. Most of the time kasi, puro pagod and umaabot na ang init ng ulo pero sa experience namin sa set, wala talaga,” Brent said.
“Kada sequence, umaabot kami ng apat na oras pero hindi namin nararamdaman ‘yun. Magugulat kami, gabi na. Pumapasok kami sa set ng maaga tapos [ginagabi] kami pero hindi namin nararamdaman ‘yun,” Mika added.
Mika and Brent recently led the Puregold Hakot Relay Run’s Sunset Concert in Luneta Park with Kaia G22 and Press Hit Play last November 22.
The grocery chain transformed a fun Filipino activity into a large-scale community engagement platform with the launch of the Hakot Relay Run at Burnham Green Park in Luneta.
The event prompted a strong turnout with participants numbering in the thousands, demonstrating the retailer’s continued focus on community-building initiatives that are aligned with its long-term brand and customer growth strategy.
Blending fitness, entertainment, and the brand’s iconic “hakot” experience, the three-kilometer relay introduced an twist to the traditional fun run format. Teams of three joined the race not for speed but for strategy, competing in a hakot segment wherein runners grabbed grocery items and filled their sling bags before tagging the next team member. The ensuing scenario was a vibrant and adrenaline-filled activity that brought families, barkadas, and communities together.
