Meeting with the Filipino Community 3/12/2024

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. joins thousands of Filipinos living and working in the Federal Republic of Germany in a gathering as he concludes the second day of his working visit in Berlin on March 12, 2024.

The Chief Executive, together with First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos and the rest of the delegation, spends time with the Filipino community to reaffirm the government’s unyielding commitment to safeguard the welfare of Filipinos in the European nation. The Administration remains relentless in prioritizing the rights of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) around the world.

According to the Embassy of the Philippines in Germany, there are currently around 35,000 Filipinos residing in different regions of the country. They are employed in various industries such as healthcare, information technology (IT), hotel and hospitality, as well as in the academe.
