Meet the Gilas Pilipinas Youth pool for the FIBA U16 Asia Cup SEABA Qualifiers


The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas on Thursday announced Gilas Pilipinas Youth’s 18-player pool for the upcoming FIBA U16 Asia Cup SEABA Qualifiers.

The qualifying tournament will be held at the Bren Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando, Pampanga from May 24 to 30 as head coach LA Tenorio makes his debut for the young squad.

Here are the players who are called up for Gilas duty:

The Gilas Youth will open its campaign against Vietnam on May 24 at 7:30 p.m., followed by their matches versus Thailand on May 25, Singapore on May 26, Indonesia on May 28, and Malaysia on May 29. The Gilas games from May 25 to 29 will be played at 7 p.m.

The top two teams, meanwhile, will play in the finals on May 30.
