The Philippine Soccer Federation (PFF) unveiled its official mascot on Saturday in Pasig Metropolis for the inaugural FIFA Futsal Girls’s World Cup, which can be hosted by the Philippines from November 21 to December 7.
Meet Diwa.
Based on the PFF, Diwa is impressed by the diwata, a legendary determine from Filipino folklore. The mascot symbolizes “energy, grace, and teamwork—qualities that mix to make her a formidable futsal participant and a beacon of inspiration for women throughout the Southeast Asian nation and past.”
Along with her on-pitch attributes similar to tempo, imaginative and prescient, and power, the PFF stated Diwa’s “true energy lies in her teamwork, along with her profile providing a reminder that collaboration and neighborhood are on the coronary heart of futsal.”
Sixteen groups, together with the Philippines, will compete for the first-ever FIFA Futsal Girls’s World Cup title.
