MANILA, Philippines — GoTyme Bank has forged two landmark partnerships with Visa and Wise Platform aimed at accelerating digital payment innovation and improving cross-border remittances for millions of Filipinos.
At the 2025 Singapore Fintech Festival, Visa and GoTyme Group announced a multi-year, multi-market deal designed to strengthen digital payment infrastructure in the Philippines and South Africa, with future expansion planned across Southeast Asia.
Under the partnership, Visa will support the GoTyme Group through enhanced card issuance programs and value-added services, including marketing, product development, digital infrastructure enhancement and data-driven financial tools.
The collaboration aims to make secure and innovative payment experiences more accessible, marking a major step in the company’s goal to redefine financial inclusion across emerging markets.
“Visa is proud to partner with GoTyme to advance inclusive, secure, and seamless payments across the Philippines and beyond,” Jeffrey Navarro, Visa country manager for the Philippines, said.
GoTyme Group founder and CEO Coenraad Jonker said the alliance represents a major milestone in the company’s mission to bring world-class financial services to emerging markets.
“We’re excited to deepen our impact in the Philippines and South Africa as well as our future markets across Southeast Asia — empowering consumers and small businesses through secure, accessible and innovative payment experiences,” he said.
GoTyme Bank president and CEO Nate Clarke emphasized that Visa has been “instrumental in establishing GoTyme Bank as both the fastest-growing and most loved bank in the Philippines.”
“Deepening our Visa partnership will help accelerate our journey to become the largest and most transformative bank in the country,” Clarke said.
A day earlier, GoTyme Bank also announced its partnership with Wise Platform, becoming the first Wise Platform partner in the Philippines and its first International Receive partner in Asia-Pacific.
The collaboration will allow over 7.8 million GoTyme customers to receive international transfers faster, cheaper and with full transparency through the GoTyme app. The integration covers over 11,000 banks worldwide and 23 major currencies, including the dollar, euro, pound and Singapore dollar.
Remittances are a vital part of the Philippine economy. But according to Wise research, Filipino consumers lost an estimated $170 million (P9.74 billion) in 2024 due to hidden transfer fees.
Through the new service, GoTyme customers can now receive international payments directly into their accounts with faster settlement times and no hidden charges. Funds can also be withdrawn for free at over 1,400 Robinsons retail partner stores nationwide.
