As Corpus firmed up his title bid, Que faltered in the long run. A mis-hit drive and an overshot strategy on the 18th led to a bogey and a second-round 70, pushing the seasoned campaigner right down to joint second at 136 with Jhonnel Ababa and Korean Ji Sung Cheon.
In girls play, Sarah Ababa salvaged an important birdie on the 18th to cap a tumultuous spherical of 70 and regain a share of the lead with a resurgent Chihiro Ikeda and a gradual Princess Superal.
Ababa submitted a second straight two-under card and stayed on the helm at 140 as Ikeda, with a classic efficiency, sizzled with a 68 to realize a bit of the lead.
