Gained more siblings
Garbed in a Mak Tumang creation, the Philippines’ Esguerra related her how she gained 79 more siblings from her Miss International stint during the pageant’s final question-and-answer portion.
“I will tell my mama that I just gained 79 more siblings among my 16 siblings back home. Miss International taught me to be selfless, and it taught me the value of having friends from all around the world, and I’m so grateful for this opportunity because I learned to help everyone in here, everyone who needs my help, and above all, it made me a better person, a human that cares. Because I was able to create my project and with that it is my tribute to all the people who helped me,” Esguerra said.
The night started with a list of Top 20, including People’s Choice winners. The list was eventually trimmed to Top 10, which includes a Peoples’ Choice Award that went to Myanmar’s Nan Inzali, and the final Top 5.
This year’s selection committee included Linda Rodriguez Coelo, Oguzhan Ertugal, Junko Koshino, Ryohei Mikata, Kuburi Suujitsu, Hirochi Tabata, Senko Ikenobo, Miss International 2024 Huynh Thi Than Thuy, and Akemi Shimomura.
