MANILA, Philippines — Aesthetic clinic owner Dr. Venia Javellana believes the availability of advanced technology plays a big part in how she remains to be in the beauty industry after 30 years.
In an interview with the media during her company Advanced Aesthetics’s unveiling of new cutting-edge technologies from BTL Aesthetics Philippines, the doctor shared she valued her patrons’ privacy.
“We blend science and history. However, we also balance it. We usually don’t go overboard with our procedures,” Dr. Javellana explained. “We maintain open lines of communication with our patients regarding their concerns both prior to and following treatments.”
Because a majority of patients have strong retention rates — including patients from up to 20 years ago — her clinic places greater emphasis on providing each individual with the treatment they need.
“We then give them the impression that this is a second home when they visit us,” the doctor added.
Dr. Javellana said that Filipinos still want to go to beauty clinics despite the current economy as they want to care and protect for themselves.
“I believe it is in our nature to protect and care for ourselves. It is important that we look for ourselves before we can look after our family,” she said.
Reflecting on 30 years in the beauty industry, Dr. Javellana views the milestone as a beautiful transformation for both her and her patients.
