Alexandra “Alex” Eala reflected on her recent campaigns at the Jingshan Tennis Open and Suzhou Open WTA 125 in China.
In a social media post, Eala shared photos from the tournaments, along with a caption summing up her experience.
“Some crazy matches this week,” she wrote, while also posting a screenshot of her match recap against Greet Minnen in the Round of 16 that lasted three hours, 18 minutes, and 40 seconds.
“Back to the drawing board with a bit more experience and a lot of sweat lost,” she added.
Eala opened her Suzhou run with a hard-fought three-set win over Katarzyna Kawa of Poland, 6-3, 3-6, 7-5. She then outlasted Belgium’s Greet Minnen in a tight 7-6(5), 6(3)-7, 7-5 victory, before eventually bowing out in the quarterfinals to Viktorija Golubic, 6-2, 2-6, 7-6(0).
In the week prior, Eala reached the semifinals of the Jingshan Tennis Open where she fell to Lulu Sun.
Barely a day removed from her Suzhou campaign, the Filipina tennis ace is set to compete this afternoon in the qualifiers for the Wuhan Open.
