Alex Eala falls short vs Viktorija Golubic, bows out in Suzhou Open WTA 125 quarterfinals

Alexandra “Alex” Eala fell to Viktorija Golubic of Switzerland, 2-6, 6-2, 7-6(0), in the quarterfinals of the Suzhou Open WTA 125 on Friday in China.

Eala inched closer to victory with a 6-5 lead in the third set, but Golubic held serve to force a tiebreak. In the tiebreak, Eala was unable to convert any match points, allowing Golubic to close out the match.
