MANILA, Philippines — Native junior golfers are bracing for a high-stakes showdown within the ICTSI John Hay Junior PGT Championship, which unwraps tomorrow on the John Hay Golf Membership. Whereas their path to the Elite Junior Finals could also be closed, their satisfaction, familiarity with the course, and drive to show themselves promise to make them a formidable presence within the seventh and remaining leg of the Luzon regional swing.
At the very least 11 Baguio-based gamers will likely be scattered throughout the three age divisions – 7-10, 11-14, and 15-18 – for each girls and boys, every eyeing a minimum of a powerful end on their residence course. The par-69 structure, set amidst lush pine forests and embraced by town’s signature cool mountain breeze, gives a home-course benefit that these younger gamers hope to translate into an announcement efficiency.
