MANILA, Philippines — Actress Marian Rivera was in full fangirl mode after meeting Lang, the Chinese creator of Hirono toys, during his recent visit to Manila.
Marian is a frequent collector of Hirono dolls and other items produced by Pop Mart, and she certainly was not going to pass up on the chance to encounter Lang in person.
On Instagram, Marian shared photos of her meeting Lang and getting some of her possessions signed by him.
“Thank you Lang for making my dream come true and for the kindness,” Marian said in her post’s caption. “The kilig I felt when you signed my Hirono is something I’ll never forget.”
The actress even got a signed illustration from Lang dedicated to her, as seen in one of Marian’s photos.
Marian’s husband and fellow actor Dingdong Dantes also documented Marian’s fangirl moment with pictures after she met Lang.
“I rarely see her this excited — full-on fangirl mode,” Dingdong said on his own Instagram account. “Little does she know, she causes the very same happy chaos in the hearts of her own fans.”
In the comments section of Dingdong’s post, Marian said, “Hindi na ako makakatulog tonight kilig ko hanggang heaven.”
Pop Mart recently opened its first permanent store in the Philippines in a Mandaluyong mall, allowing collectors better access to items like Hirono, Labubu, Molly and Skullpanda.
