MANILA, Philippines — Actress Carla Abellana revealed that she is more afraid of evil people than evil spirits.
During the grand press conference for the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry “Shake Rattle and Roll: Evil Origins,” Carla said there are a lot more “evil people” in the world today.
“Mas takot ako sa tao, evil na mga tao kasi ang dami po nila sa paligid, saka ‘di po sila nakukuha sa dasal. Medyo mahaba po ang buhay. Parang masasamang damo. Kung sino pa ‘yung mababait, sila pa ang nauuna,” Carla said.
“Then sabi nila kung between tao o multo, mas matakot po tayo sa tao siyempre kasi sila po ‘yung may capability na saktan talaga tayo nang husto. Either way evil entity ‘yan or human being, ang katapat po ay pananampalataya. Diyos na po ang bahala sa kanila and thankfully naman. Honestly, evil is everywhere,” the actress said.
She specifically cited people without integrity and morals, and those who are corrupt and those who steal. Carla is thankful that she has so far evaded these kinds of people, citing divine protection.
“Sa totoo lang po, sa dami ng nangyayari ngayon sa mundo, sa mga taong walang integrity, sa mga magnanakaw, sa mga korap, napakarami pong entities around us, thankfully, personally po wala naman po (bumiktima) sa akin at mayroon tayong Lord kaya meron tayong armas,” the actress shared.
Carla will star in the first episode of the MMFF entry titled “1775,” directed by Shugo Praico and written by Noreen Capili.
Apart from Carla, Arlene Muhlach, Loisa Andalio, Ysabel Ortega, Ashley Ortega and Janice de Belen will also be part of “1775.”
Produced by Regal Entertainment headed by Roselle Monteverde and Keith Monteverde, “Share Rattle and Roll: Evil Origins” will be shown in cinemas on December 25.
