MANILA, Philippines — Meeting your idols up close is probably on the bucket list of every K-pop fan, but securing a front-row ticket is not easy.
Seeing the members in person sends fans into a frenzy and gives them “kilig.”
Engenes, the group’s official fandom, have the chance to meet the K-pop boy group Enhypen not only from a barricade-view but also virtually within arm’s reach through its first-ever VR concert.
Similar to a real-life concert, fans can enjoy Enhypen’s visuals and performances in their “VR Concert: Immersion,” but this time, closer than ever at a 0cm distance.
Fans can get up close with Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo and Ni-ki as they perform their hit songs, including “Sweet Venom,” “Bite Me” and “XO (Only If You Say Yes).”
The VR concert also features “ments” portions between performances, where the members talk about their songs and interact with viewers.
Even in a virtual setting, Engenes did not forget to chant “Walang uuwi” before the encore or the stage after the official setlist, proving that a concert experience would not be complete without the Filipino crowd’s loud cheers, fanchants and singing along with the group.
The “Immersion” concert, presented by Wilbros Live and Gateway Cineplex, will be shown exclusively at Cinema 17 of Gateway Cineplex 18 from November 20 to December 6.
This also marks the first-ever immersive concert experience in the Philippines, which launched on November 19.
Tickets are available via TicketNet, priced at P1,300 and include an exclusive random Enhypen photocard.
The group last visited the country in March as part of its “Walk the Line” world tour, held at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan.
K-pop boy group Tomorrow X Together (TXT)’s VR concert “Heart Attack” will also be available in Manila and will run from December 8 to 24 at the same cinema.
